Don't skip the chilling step: Pouring hot coffee directly over ice melts the ice too fast and gives you a watery mess. Even 5 minutes in the freezer makes a real difference.
Use large ice cubes: They melt slower. I bought a silicone mold for giant cubes – best $8 I ever spent.
Simple syrup is your friend: Make a batch (equal parts sugar and water, heated until dissolved) and keep it in the fridge for weeks. It works for iced tea, lemonade, and cocktails too.
Meal prep: Brew a double batch on Sunday and store the concentrate in a sealed jar in the fridge for up to 5 days. Mornings go from 'I need coffee immediately' to 'I have coffee immediately.'
